After decades of visionary leadership, community service, and cultural stewardship, Holly Arnold Kinney is announcing her retirement as owner of The Fort Restaurant. Holly and her father, Sam Arnold, have long been pillars of the community, dedicated to preserving and celebrating early Colorado history. Together, they founded Tesoro Cultural Center, a nonprofit devoted to keeping the stories, arts, and traditions of Native American and Spanish American cultures alive through education and world-class cultural events.

Under Holly’s leadership, The Fort earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places and became a nationally recognized destination that honors Colorado’s past while supporting local and national artists. Holly also takes great pride in the restaurant’s loyal and dedicated employees, many of whom have worked at The Fort for more than a decade and have been instrumental to its success and enduring spirit.

As she steps into a new chapter, Holly looks forward to spending more time with her husband and family. After careful and thoughtful research to ensure the restaurant’s legacy would be preserved, she has selected City Street Investors and Revesco Properties as the new owners. She is confident they will carry the torch with the same respect for history, culture, and community that has defined The Fort for generations.

Please join us in congratulating Holly on her well-earned retirement and celebrating the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind.
